Dr. Krakow is experienced at providing Forensic Evaluations in courts of law and administrative hearings. Over the course of the past decade, he has been called upon to testify in criminal cases, family law cases and civil cases in his particular areas of expertise: Adult Substance Abuse and Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

Whether in an adversarial environment or administrative hearing, Dr. Krakow communicates his findings and opinions with clarity, in language easily understandable to the layperson, and testifies with simplicity and directness. His vast knowledge base combined with the skills of an insightful and ethical psychiatrist make him an invaluable resource in assisting the courts or other fact finders to arrive at a just or correct decision.

As a Forensic Consultant, Dr. Krakow is equipped to review and evaluate all pertinent records, conduct psychiatric interviews, and draft written reports with diagnoses, opinions and medical conclusions. In addition, he will, if so directed, prepare and organize the production of demonstrative evidence, and provide expert testimony at deposition and trial.

Dr. Krakow applies his extensive knowledge on such issues as toxicology and pharmacology, the effects of alcohol and drugs on the human body and performance issues, and analytical testing procedures in rendering case analysis and testimony in the area of Adult Substance Abuse.

Dr. Krakow’s other areas of specialization include Mood and Anxiety Disorders. The range of Mood Disorders includes Major Depression, Dysthymic Disorder and Bipolar Spectrum Disorders. Anxiety Disorders involve chemical imbalances that affect an individual’s feelings and behavior. They include Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
